Georgia 'Georgie' Wright can't catch a break. Between dealing with chronic illness, being between jobs and a crocheting yarn obsession she can't fund, it doesn't seem anything else can go wrong. That is, until she has one of the lowest days of her life wrapped up in a pretty little bow: she gets stuck in an elevator.

Convinced she is going to never get out, the only thing that keeps her going is the voice of the elevator phone operator who talks to her about anything and everything, promising she will, in fact, make it out alive. She can’t help but feel drawn to this man that saves her in every way, even if she’ll never meet him again. There’s nothing more she wants than to find him, to thank him. She’ll do whatever it takes.

Things are about to get knotty.
